You have to put yourself out there before anything can happen

You have to put yourself out there before anything can happen. You have to keep knocking on doors—then one day you will find a Pamela, a Betty, an Olga. I go from bar to bar. I search for a good cinema. I search for a great stripper. I search for a great Esmeralda. It is like I am still single. On my free afternoon I try to live as if I am still single—but it doesn’t work, because I am not. And that awareness dulls everything. Already The Crown feels like it could become my new favourite pub. To be the man she wants me to be makes me unhappy. To be the man I am makes her unhappy. The thought of all the great erotic experiences I have had with so many different women makes me recoil instinctively from marriage. I really wonder if I will ever have a great erotic experience again? Am I capable of it?
